Planning for the 2026 Cultural Dance Workshops is now underway, where a new routine inspired by Philippine folk dance is being choreographed for the YFG cultural dance troupe summer workshops. The dance is being developed under the inspiration of Mr. Ravson Ignacio, supported by Mrs. Vhie Linford, as part of the project’s early creative phase.

This year, a new batch of participants is expected to join the Yorkshire Filipino Group (YFG) Dance Troupe, with 18 returning members and newcomers signed up so far. The troupe is made up of healthcare workers, carers, homemakers, students, and young professionals, representing the Filipino diaspora who remain connected to their heritage while embracing life in the UK.
The project is being supported through community donations and grant funding raised by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, enabling Creative Hearts United to continue offering cultural arts opportunities and accessible to the Filipino community in Leeds.

The YFG Dance Troupe will be touring and scheduled to appear in summer 2026, with performances planned for the Bradford Barrio Fiesta and Cheshire East Barrio Fiesta, marking another vibrant season of cultural celebration.
