Meet Our Trustees

Our managing trustees ensure the charity fulfils its purpose for the public benefit, complies with its governing document and the law, acts in the charity’s best interests, manages resources responsibly, and maintains strong accountability. Trustees also take on a hands-on role in service delivery in a voluntary capacity, actively supporting the planning and delivery of our programmes. Our dedicated board brings a diverse range of skills and experience, strengthening our work and helping us earn the trust of the Filipino community.

Emma Chu

Emma Chu, Trustee

Emma, originally from Lingayen, Philippines, is a co-founder of the charity and a Senior Nurse in one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in West Yorkshire. With more than a decade of community volunteerism, she brings her skills in public engagement to the organisation, having contributed to numerous committees for cultural events and initiatives that strengthen Filipino representation in Leeds. She is also passionate about nurturing young talent, encouraging the next generation to take pride in their heritage and develop their skills. Her dedication to community building has played a key role in supporting the Philippine diaspora, fostering connection, pride, and cultural celebration through the charity’s work.

Cherry Mullins

Cherry Mullins, Trustee

Cherry began her nursing career in Manila, Philippines, before moving to the UK to continue her professional journey. As one of the first trustees to join the charity, she has been an active and creative contributor since its early days. With a strong interest in the arts, Cherry uses the charity as an outlet to express her creativity, adding colour to cultural costume designs and helping improve the visual presentation of community events. Her dedication and creative contributions continue to enrich the charity’s cultural celebrations and strengthen its connection to Filipino heritage.

Vivian Bartolome

Vivian Bartolome, Trustee

Vivian, originally from Malasiqui, Philippines, is a Senior Nurse in one of the leading teaching hospital trusts in West Yorkshire. She has been involved with the charity since its inception, generously offering her spare time to support its activities. Vivian plays an essential role in overseeing the charity’s administration and financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and effective financial management.

Ronald Chu

Ronald Chu, Trustee

Ronald started his career as an architect in Iloilo City, Philippines. Now based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, he works in the Asset Data and Compliance team for a local authority. Since moving to the UK, Ronald has devoted his free time to volunteering within the Filipino community, generously sharing his skills to support a wide range of initiatives. As co-founder of the charity and Chair of the Board, he has helped shape its governance from the very beginning, ensuring compliance, maintaining strategic direction, and supporting the charity’s growth through fundraising.

Revson Ignacio

Revson Ignacio, Trustee

Revson, an Electrical Engineer practitioner in the Philippines from Bolinao, later moved to Leeds where he joined a multinational energy management company. He has a strong passion and artistic flair for the performing arts, particularly contemporary and traditional Filipino dance. His enthusiasm and creativity have made him one of the most sought‑after choreographers within the Filipino community in Leeds, where he regularly creates and leads dance performances for cultural celebrations. By joining the charity’s board, Revson continues to share his time and talent with Filipino organisations and social groups, helping to promote culture, creativity, and community spirit through the arts.
