One of the highlights this year was the group’s performance at Barrio Fiesta Crewe 2025, held at Queens Park. During the festival, a group of talented British-Filipino youth performed the iconic Filipino folk dance Tinikling, drawing a large crowd and captivating the audience with their energy and skill.

Tinikling is one of the most famous traditional Filipino folk dances. The dance takes inspiration from the Tikling, a bird known for its quick and graceful movements as it avoids bamboo traps in rice fields. In the dance, performers step in and out of two bamboo poles that are rhythmically clapped together by pole holders. The dance requires speed, coordination, and teamwork, making it both exciting to watch and challenging to perform.

The Creative Hearts United dancers delighted the crowd and invited members of the audience to try the Tinikling steps themselves. This interactive moment created a joyful cultural exchange and introduced many festival visitors to the beauty and rhythm of Filipino dance and Philippine heritage.
