The Pintados, inhabitants of the Visayas region in pre-colonial Philippines, were famed for their intricate tattoos. These weren’t just decorative; they carried deep cultural significance, symbolizing bravery, status, and identity. The workshop honors this tradition, transforming tattoo artistry into dynamic choreography. Every movement tells a story of triumph, resilience, and the beauty of individuality.
A Workshop Like No Other
Participants will actively learn steps inspired by the bold, rhythmic, and expressive movements of Pintados warriors. But beyond mastering techniques, you’ll dive into the spirit of the dance—the pride, the camaraderie, and the shared joy of coming together to celebrate culture. The dance will be chorepgraphed by Tebs Licos, Revson Ignacio, Vhie Linford, Emma Chu & Dolce Amore. Costume and Props by Cherry Mullins & Ronald Chu.
